Description
When businessman Samuel Fairbrother decides that his new status in life demands a home more in keeping with his recent wealth, he sets out to fine the perfect house. But the thirty-four room mansion he buys comes complete with a headstrong staff and a set of problems he never anticipated. Butler Roger Maitland has no respect for his new boss, considering him nothing more than an upstart. Soon Samuel and Roger are locked in a battle for supremacy of the household and for the loyalty of Saumel's own children. And Samuel is at a disadvantage. As the years pass and family members go their separate ways, only Janet , the eldest daughter, remains. In her lies the only home of reconcilling the scattered family even if she has to defy both her father and convention to do so.
