Description
When a serial killer allegedly claims a seventh victim, Detective Robicheaux suspects something is amiss. The latest killing doesn't follow the killer's previous crimes, leading Robicheaux and partner Clete Purcel to investigate Herman Stanga. But when Stanga is found murdered shortly after a confrontation with Purcel, Robicheaux finds himself with one mess of a case. To add to his troubles, his Ivy League daughter Alafair is back in town and shacking up with seedy novelist Kermit Abelard.
