Description
In Ghost Meadow, fort scout John Morning Gun is suspected of rustling cattle for his Indian brothers. Ordered to remain at the fort while trader Peter Burdette and Lt. Albert Winthrop, charged with leading the patrol to pursue the raiding Indians and missing cattle stock and prove Morning Gun's guilt, the scout will play a decisive part in his own condemnation or redemption. The Last Gun follows Sheriff Tom Logan, ordered to hang an old frontiersman, Old Man Barton, for the murder of an alleged horse thief who was the son of a rich and powerful rancher. Already believing Old Man may be innocent, or at least justified in the shooting, Tom and the townspeople are further set on edge by the arrival of a stranger determined to prove Barton innocent.
