Notes

Description
Seven-year-old Nia loved running home after school to spend time with her Granddad. She would turn on the music and they would dance around the living room-Nia anchoring herself gently on her grandfather's large shoes. But one day when Nia turned on the music, Granddad thought it was bedtime. Another time, he forgot that he had already eaten his favorite cookies. He also started to forget his famous fish story. Young readers are taken on the journey of learning-in an age-appropriate way-that Nia's Granddad has Alzheimer's disease and will need to move to a new home. They also learn that while Nia's Grandad is changing, the love between Nia and her Granddad never will. ,From book
