Description
As a companion to her much-praised book, "The Artists of Brown County" (Indiana University Press, 1994), Lyn Letsinger-Miller has produced this DVD recounting the story of the remarkable Brown County art colony. In addition to full-color reproductions of paintings and graphic work by fifteen artists, the DVD features photographs by Frank M. Hohenberger, live footage of the artists from a 1947 film, and scenes of Brown County today.

Based on a private revelation to Polish nun St. Faustina Kowalska (1905-38) as described in her diary, in 1931 she said that Christ asked her to have the image of Divine Mercy painted and shared with the world. Painted by Eugeniusz Kazimirowski starting in 1934, the artwork was forced into hiding when the anti-Catholic Soviet Union occupied Vilnius.
